Heather Johnson, LMT
Massage Therapy in Greenfield Massachusetts

About The Practitioner

At an early age, Heather was most interested in working with people to help shape and maintain their lives through healthy living.  As a sports enthusiast, she has participated in a broad array of athletics such as downhill skiing and roller derby.  She took an extreme interest in not only watching, but coaching, various sports teams. Heather has spent most of her career working in school systems ranging from elementary through college.  She worked with graduate students who were getting their master's degree in clinical psychology and counseling.  Heather obtained a bachelor's level degree in psychology and human development at Union Institute & University in Brattleboro, Vermont.  She obtained her massage therapy license from The Massage School in Easthampton, Massachusetts, where she was able to complete her coursework while she finished the 200 hour clinical requirement simultaneously to become licensed.  It is Heather's hope for her clients to leave their sessions not only feeling better physically, but with the mindset that it is possible to maintain a body that is full of a lifetime of peace.

Heather's most influential mentor is a massage therapist who she had seen regularly for an extensive period of time after having major back surgery.  This mentor said, "Heather, your body is like a car, and if it is not maintained, it will break down and leave you stranded."  She needed to say no more for Heather to follow the path she is now encouraging others to follow.
